Will I get high from consuming CBD?
No – you will not get high from CBD. The misconception that CBD gets you high is largely due to CBD and THC both being the most prominent cannabinoids in the Cannabis plant. CBD oil does not contain the psychoactive properties of THC and therefore does not get you high.
CBD oil is extracted from industrial hemp which has traditionally been used to make fabrics and paper and more recently in body care, construction materials, biofuels, and plastic composites. Industrial hemp contains naturally low amounts of THC. The extraction process for CBD leaves only trace amounts of THC which will not get you high.
What’s the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
Hemp oil is extracted from seeds of hemp plants. While it can be extracted from any cannabis plant, industrial hemp is used for the commercial hemp oil extraction. Hemp oil is being used in a range of applications including cooking, moisturizing, soaps, bio-diesel fuel, and plastic composites. Hemp oil contains low levels of CBD, meaning it offers little therapeutic benefit.
CBD oil is extracted from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of industrial hemp. Its properties are more beneficial for overall wellness.
Does CBD contain THC? Will it show up on a drug test?
Unfortunately, it is possible for CBD to result in a positive for THC. This is analogous to eating a poppy seed bagel that can cause a positive for opiates depending on the type of test. Our products contain trace amounts of THC below the legal threshold of 0.3 percent.
Studies have shown that consuming hemp foods and oils can result in positive test results. Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of drug testing, we recommend that you do not use our products.
Can I use CBD if I’m pregnant?
We recommend that you consult with a physician who understands CBD and its properties if you’re considering to use it while pregnant.
Can I use CBD while I’m breastfeeding?
We recommend that you consult with a physician who understands CBD and its properties if you’re considering to use it while breastfeeding.
Does CBD cause side effects?
Hemp is considered generally safe, so there shouldn’t be any significant side effects of CBD, but we can’t rule them out as it really depends on how your body tolerates and adapts to these dietary supplements. We recommend that you consult your physician before using any dietary supplement, including our CBD oil.
